He was, at times, one of the best defencemen on the team last year (occassionally the worst as well) and a stablizing influence on Phaneuf. I'm not disappointed with his tenure in Calgary. <BR/><BR/>Stuart would have been nice to keep, but he's going to get overpaid relative to his on-ice contributions. I think he's basically peaked as a 30 point, #2 or 3 guy and probably isn't worth 5M/year in the long run. <BR/><BR/>The big test now is finding guys that can fill in in the top 4. Warrener is a 6th d-man at best and Zyuzin isn't even that. I like Giordano, but he needs Tom Preissing like ice to excel.
